US History Class,

Get ready for an exciting year of US history on team daVinci at HBMS. I try my very best to make learning US history fun for all of students but that also means there are some  high expectations for my students. Always be courteous, responsible and respectful! School is a priviledge so make the most out of your education.

This year you will be learning about the early explorers, colonists, the American Revolution, the failure of our first Constitution, the New Republic and the Civil War. That is a lot of material to cover in one year! We won't cover every aspect of it in class but there is flexibility with classroom projects so that you can research items of your interest.

• Learning to write argumentative essays

• Mock Congress 

• Mock trial of Andrew Jackson

• Creating a history documentary

• Think like a historian -analyze primary documents

• Mock Senate at the EMK Institute in Boston
